Olá meninas, hoje trago-vos o segundo livro da rubrica "Momento de Leitura".

Desta vez escolhi "Maze Runner", anteriormente já tinha visto o trailer do filme que iria estrear, e visto que me cativou bastante, resolvi comprar o livro para posteriormente ver o filme.

Hello girls, today I bring you the second book under "Reading Time".
This time i've chosen "Maze Runner", i already had seen the trailer for the film and since captivated me enough, I decided to buy the book to see the film later.

Quando desperta, não sabe onde se encontra. Sons metálicos, a trepidação, um frio intenso. Sabe que o seu nome é Thomas, mas é tudo. Quando a caixa onde está para bruscamente e uma luz surge do teto que se abre, Thomas percebe que está num elevador e chegou a uma superfície desconhecida. Caras e vozes de rapazes, jovens adolescentes como ele, rodeiam-no, falando entre si. Puxam-no para fora e dão-lhe as boas vindas à Clareira. Mas no fim do seu primeiro dia naquele lugar, acontece algo inesperado - a chegada da primeira e única rapariga, Teresa. E ela traz uma mensagem que mudará todas as regras do jogo.

Thomas wakes up in a metal lift, only remembering his name. A group of boys pull him out and tell him he is in theGlade, the part of the maze they live in. Thomas discovers that the Gladers have been trying to solve the Maze for two years. He also finds out that the Maze is inhabited by monsters called Grievers, which are half-animal, half-machine creatures that are extremely dangerous. However, they only come at night. He finds out that at night time, the walls of the Maze, called the Doors, close to protect the Gladers from the Grievers outside. Thomas is the main protagonist of the series.
